Samantha - Class of 2010

The weather has been a little unpredictable this fall - especially weekends. So I was SOOO glad it finally cooperated for this lovely lady's senior session. Samantha's uncle has the coolest property to photograph a session - we could have stayed there for hours and hours! What fun "backdrops" he had to work with - complete with a lake and cabin. Sam, her mom, sister, dog and I then traveled over to Lakeshore Park for some photos under the few leaves still left. It was an absolute pleasure to meet and photograph Samantha - what a fun and sweet young lady she is (she's a kindred spirit in that she is on yearbook staff at her high school too:-). Here's to Geneva's Class of 2010 Samantha! May all your dreams come true!

The B Family

I have known Jen and Chris for years - I think I knew she loved him before she did actually:-) They are a great couple and I had the honor of being in their wedding 3 years ago. I love being present at these special events in friends lives - and what could be more special than their "little man" Christopher? He just exudes joy, is so easy going, and is about as handsome as a little guy can be. It was a beautiful day to capture some fall color and family memories. Thank you B family!

The K Family

Keri and I are coworkers. She was recommending Emerson Harper Photography to a friend of hers when she was pregnant several months back only to find out she was the one who ended up getting the session as a gift from her friends! Funny how life works, isn't it? I am so glad her friends contacted me - what a stunning day to photograph the K family, their gorgeous little girl, Rylee, and dedicated pooch Ollie. This little lady was up for anything we threw at her - even a tutu at the end of the session which she was literally falling asleep in! What a fun morning this was - can't wait to photograph this little one growing up - she is blessed with such an adoring family!

Sibling Revelry

What better way to relax after work then to photograph these two cuties just being themselves at home? Mom made a great call to change our session from Friday up to Wednesday and boy, am I ever glad she did - 70 degrees, sunny, gorgeous leaves...wish we could have bottled the day!! Marcus and Delaney showed me around their great property as we climbed up ravines, waded through water, and just played in the leaves - I hope Dad is happy with his Christmas present this year! Thanks Marcus & Delaney for a wonderful Wednesday!

Fall Family Fun

I had a wonderful time reconnecting with an "old" friend last weekend. Jennelle and her husband have two adorable little boys and it was the perfect weather for our session. We started in their lovely neighborhood, took a walk at a horse farm, and then ended with some casual indoor shots as that was what our birthday boy Wes thought was best - Happy 2nd Birthday Wes! Thanks again Jennelle, Mike, Mitch, and Wes for a beautiful way to end a Sunday!

K Family Session Preview

I've known Jocelyn and her husband Bob for several years. Joce and I work together - literally right next door to each other - which came in handy for our many bathroom breaks we took while we were both pregnant together - "Can you watch my class...?":-) Her little guy and my youngest daughter are just a few weeks apart in age and we often find ourselves comparing "war stories" in the morning. It was a special day to photograph her family - these two parents are utterly devoted and adoring of their son. And who wouldn't be - he is an easy spirit to be with and seemed to have fun just running around and exploring. Thank you for the opportunity to photograph your family K Family!

Senior Session

This gorgeous young lady is as nice as she is pretty. We had a great time traveling around to different locations that were special to her for her senior portraits. I think the song she chose to go with her session is just perfection - really captures everything about her and a senior year. Here's to the class of 2010!
